KERRA is a family-run
ceramics workshop in Kyiv
with direct access to
the great outdoors.

WHAT WE CREATE AND WHY

We set up the family-run KERRA workshop because most of the ceramics around us didn’t match the vision we had in mind.

KERRA emerged from a journey of self-discovery and led to a deep connection with clay.

First and foremost, we wanted to create “artifact-style” ceramics, where each piece tells its own story through an authentic concept, a unique shape, and an exclusive color..

Over the past 10 years, we have created hundreds of unique designs, experimented with dozens of combinations of different glazes, and learned how to turn ideas into real artifacts that our customers use every day.

And every piece, from the initial sketch to the final polish, has passed through our hands and between our fingers.

We make this world a little more beautiful and promote:

  • The philosophy of creating real things with your own hands, as a counterpoint to mass-market products
  • The Complex Code of Ukrainian Art
  • A whole new level of tactile sensation (you won’t want to put our products down)
  • All-natural ECO materials (Ukrainian clay from Sloviansk)
  • High-quality finishes, our stunning German glazes (BoTZ and TERRACOLOR)

We are trusted by

  • rara
  • OYCHA
  • tea insider

KERRA blurs the lines between art and everyday life. Here, form, material, and details come together to create not just an object, but a true artifact.

CRAFT & PROCESS

10 Years of Ceramics.
Conclusions.

Every piece begins with an idea and goes through dozens of stages before it reaches your hands.
We work slowly not because it’s difficult, but because a good result requires attention to detail.
From selecting the clay and shaping the piece to glazing, firing, and packaging—every step influences what the final product will be like.

STAGES OF PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

From Idea to Finished Product

Modeling, shaping, texturing, and polishing—we do it all by hand; we even apply the glaze by hand with a brush rather than by dipping, so that the pieces ultimately reveal a deeper and more iridescent effect from the glazes.

THE TEAM

Two brothers, endless ideas, and malleable Ukrainian clay

Greetings from Ilya and Anton—we’re brothers from Kyiv who have been creating handmade Ukrainian ceramics for over 10 years. Ceramics is a challenging craft in general, and it’s been especially difficult over the past three years of war, but driven by our love for what we do, we continue to nurture contemporary Ukrainian art and create authentic Ukrainian products with our own hands.
