This Japanese style teapot embodies the Bauhaus belief that beauty is born from contrasts. A round body, an elongated handle, a jaunty spout of a Japanese-style teapot, and a neat little cap-like lid create a highly charismatic and playful composition. One of the greatest pleasures is holding this kyusu teapot, crafted in the Japanese style, by its delicate handle — an intriguing, novel, yet surprisingly comfortable sensation.
The glaze color is my personal favorite: a cosmic blue with diesel-like iridescence — the kind you could gaze at forever — a deep olfleck (obsidian) on the outside, and inside the teapot, cups, and handle, a contrasting yet complementary, dazzlingly vibrant sky-blue gloss.
To the touch, it feels like otherworldly metal. The pieces themselves are remarkably sturdy, and their shapes are perfectly ergonomic.
All in all — this is our top model, so don’t miss your chance to make your own “Path of Reason” yours.
